Matt Thrash's career has spanned over a decade of excellence. In March of 2001, Matt achieved his goal and opened up Thrash's Living Art Studio and now has made a step forward into the future and now brings you Wild Idea Tattoo & Piercing. Through many years Matt has worked with several artists around the country to develope his abilities and stature in the tattoo industry.

Matt to this day still tries to make every tattoo better than the last one. In Matt's eyes there are no bad tattoo experiences, each experience is one of a kind. Matt uses reference from the entire industry, from magazines to sketch art to influence how he will tattoo the next piece he works on. Matt doesn't credit any artist or artist style being tackled today with his, he constantly is looking for new influences and new challenges to pursue. In every tattoo Matt creates, his main goal is to make it one of a kind and special for every client who sits in his chair.

Away from the tattoo chair, Matt enjoys the area he lives in. Whether he is hunting or fishing or running his annual marathon, Matt will take everything the Black Hills and South Dakota will give him. Most of all his favorite time away from the studios is the time he gets to spend with his wife Cathy, daughter Robin and son Grayson.

Beside tattooing, Matt's other passion is riding is custom built shovelhead, which with some help from his friends, Matt assembled and created himself.

With two tattoo studies, a successful tattoo career, and great family, most people would be satisfied, but Matt will always look for a new challenge to overcome.
